Edmonton’s Self-Advocacy Federation<\/a> is an advocacy and support organization for adults with cognitive disabilities and their allies. Among many other activities, the Self-Advocacy Federation produces hard-hitting satirical videos which explore their frustrations: being treated like children, being denied a livable income, navigating bureaucracies, and having to defend their basic human rights.<\/p>\n

Not surprisingly, some of these videos show the struggles they’ve faced around sexuality – being adults who are still seen by many as ‘innocent children’.<\/p>\n

Any parent, son, or daughter who’s tried to have a family discussion on dating will get a laugh (or a cringe) out of this one:<\/p>\n
