CQC Self-advocates Alison Klein and Colin Darge spoke at a 2SLGBTQIA+ panel for folks with disabilities at UBC on Saturday, March 2nd.
Two members of CQC represented the community at the UBC Panel “Queer Inclusive and Rights-Affirming Support – Advocate and Analyst Perspectives”. CQC Peer Coordinator Alison Klein and group member Colin Darge shared their perspectives on how folks in supporting roles can better show up for the 2SLGBTQIA+ folks they serve. Fellow panel speaker and posAbilities staff Darren Frisk shared that both Alison and Colin “did an amazing job talking about their lived experiences, which I think was really beneficial for behavioural consultants attending.” Way to go, Alison and Colin!
