Connecting Queer Communities had a booth at the 2024 New Westminster Pride Festival on August 17th.
CQC Booth at New Westminster Pride
The booth had information on CQC’s activities, plus Pride stickers and a button making machine where people could design their own Pride pins. CQC members took turns staffing the table – and also took breaks to see other booths at the festival, and meet & mingle. We met hundreds of people at the table throughout the day, and there was lots of interest in the group. A particularly big shout-out goes out to Marissa, who put in a long day of setup, teardown, managing the button maker, and talking to strangers about what CQC was all about.
And Alison got to make friends with a cat from the Kinsight booth next door.
