CQC was invited to speak to the folks of HSSBC!
On April 18th, Connecting Queer Communities team members Kelsey, John, and Alison were invited to speak at the monthly meeting of the Home Sharing Support Society of BC. We did a small presentation on what Real Talk was, how CQC came to be, and what we accomplished in our first year. Then we opened the floor for questions from the audience. We had a rich discussion of how HomeShare providers can best support the 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals they serve, and explored the many province-wide resources that are available. We’re looking forward to speaking to HSSSBC again in the future!
